Free radicals are byproducts of oxidation, the body's process of turning oxygen into energy. They damage cells and DNA. The human body manufactures its own set of antioxidants to repair the damage. However, this innate ability to repair DNA damage weakens as the body ages. Fine lines and wrinkles are external evidence of the body's decreased ability to repair DNA damage and increased vulnerability to free radicals.

Studies show that grape seed extract possesses 20 times more antioxidant activity than vitamin C and 50 times more antioxidant activity than vitamin E!
Research has shown that grape seed extract is a super antioxidant and is easily absorbed by the human body. It also compliments the protective effects of vitamins C, E, and beta-carotene. Furthermore, grape seed extract is rich in vitamins A, 82, and C, and antioxidants. It is effective at protecting cells against oxidative DNA damage. At the some time, it may also promote wound healing and help to keep skin soft and supple, and decrease the appearance of aging for youthful, healthier skin.
